Dr. Ma obtained his BS in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University. His research focuses on innovative biomaterials at the interface between biotechnology and materials chemistry, with multiple silica-based nanomedicine products translated into clinical advancements. He is a co-founder of two biotech companies dedicated to developing novel drug delivery systems for various diseases, which have collectively raised over $100 million USD. He has published more than 30 papers in prestigious journals such as Nature and is an inventor of over 30 granted patents.
